Thanking you Ms. Crane

I want to give credit where it's due. Justine Crane of La Parfumeur Rebelle has been a member of Nature's Nexus private forum a while now. From the start I noticed that she was really helpful and readily shared her perfuming knowledge with aspiring perfumers. She helped me on several occasions when I got stuck and when I followed her instructions I got some really excellent results. In fact I felt as though I had moved up to a different level of perfumery from just following her simple and well laid out instructions. I think it's a combination of the way she explains things and her attention to detail. I also got the feeling that she wasn't holding anything back. She was telling me how to make perfumes and the way she tells it makes it easy. It's still hard work but I still feel as though I have been let in on the secrets of perfumery. I think Justine has an exceptional gift, not only for making perfumes but for teaching the subject.
Justine approached myself and Liz Tams, Nexus co-editor, with an idea for Nature's Nexus. She wanted to offer free tuition. We were thrilled, still haven't come down off the buzz actually.
I talked to my husband and it turned out that he was working on an educational software platform for a local doctor and he said that we could use it too. Justine came up with the name Nature's Nexus Academy for Perfuming Arts and we brought our friend and Nexus arts Director Nathaniel Musselman into the organizing group. We all agreed with Justines idea for the ethos of the academy. The Academy is not set up to make lots of money but to teach people how to work with natural essences SAFELY and how to sucessfully create quality perfume using natural materials.
Justine Crane I want to thank you for bringing the idea to Nexus and for wanting to teach perfumery for all the right reasons.
