Episode Two: The Budding Cafe

The working week begins on a Tuesday for Cassie. She walks to work. It takes her 20 minutes walking briskly. She crosses through Kennedy Square (Eyre Square) and past the big black cannons that face the main bank before walking down through main street. The shop where she works is “back in the west” of Galway City.

Two doors down the street from where she works there is a little café-flowershop called the “Budding Cafe”. It is run by the nicest couple you could ever hope to meet in your entire life, Geranium and Vetiver. Geranium has long thick black hair and looks like a Spanish señorita if not for her pale Irish complexion. She has one of those faces that gives nothing away until she smiles. She is very softly spoken.
